So my clutch just decided it doesn't want to fully disengage, meaning go all the way to the floor. it goes about halfway then stops and feels squishy, like theres a ball behind it. I can still change gears but I have a feeling that won't be for long.

I was told it might just have lost transmission fluid, but I can't find the dang transmission plug to check it. My stupid haynes manual doesn't provide a picture of where its located.

My cars a 89 RS 305 5 speed, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

the fluid they were refeering to is for the clutch hydraulics, not the transmission fluid.

there is a reservoir attached to a bracket off the brake booster on the driverside. Thats for the clutch hydraulics. see if there is anything in it.

Sounds like either the clutch master, or slave cylinder are going out.

My master cylinder was going out, and it was a PAIN to drive the car, the clutch will slowly engage itself no matter if you want it to or not. They are both a huge pain to replace, though.

Check them for leaks.
