Hey, I have a 1992 Z28, and I just replaced the clutch on it a few weeks ago. I was running completely fine, but during a drive from the Bay Area to San Diego it stopped shifting into any of the bottom gears. I can force it into reverse if I really pull on the shifter, but it really just doesn't want to engage. I get griding almost every time i try to go into 2, 4, or R.
When I had the clutch out I noticed there are two bolts on the clutch linkage that appeared to adjust the throw on the shifter, and was thinking one of them may have spun to the point its blocking me out of the bottom gears. I don't know much about trannies or if I'm even in the right ballpark in terms of a solution to the problem.
Any ideas what could be wrong and/or how to repair it?
