Yep..you get recognition from me for the DTM mount from Napa..and your previous post with the pix was the deal maker....I'm going to do some more upgrades to my trans,hoping to do this year,but its all weather contingent....Once that work is done will be the answer to how well this mount will act...so there will probably be one more follow up for the site to read(on my scenario)....Glad this thread is/was here,as I used for determining my angle to my selections.....

Just glad I could find and share a good replacement besides the much harder poly and cheap $2 rubber ones... I found some "new old stock" ones, that people were asking like $100+ for, but 20+ year old rubber, I'll pass... Glad Napa made has a nice piece available... and this site we have here to share...

just an update I removed the preload plate and sanded off the 2 poly bumps and no more issues car is smooth till 100 so happy now
I had attempted to re try an stock rubber mount and with just some normal driving it ripped in 2 pieces
i said will what if i use a razor blade and scrape off the 2 poly bumps on the top i figured worst case i just have to buy another mount
and wow all vibrations gone its smooth till over 100 so that has been my issue forever
i also did the same mod to my irocs and its smooth again aswell so the issue really is its too tall i don't understand the need for the preload plate the factory mount dosnt need one and the es mounts steel is still thicker then the stock ones steel

Great discussion. It would seem the ES 3.1142 has a slight edge over the prothane 7-1604 in terms of reported excessive vibration, though you’d clearly still be rolling the dice. A bonus to my mind is the 3.1142 was designed to fit thirdgens specifically. I may give this a go along with the ES motor mounts and see which camp I end up in. :P

sorry no pics of the mod the poly ripped a part internaly . I tossed it but there are 2 large humps in the es poly mount I just ground them down flat as for another update after installing a softer es mount I then added a adjustable torque arm drove fine for about a month . I ended up getting an all new vibration 
apparently using the tq to force the proper pinon angle is not such a great idea snapped the bellhousing on trans no clue why the tail shaft didn't snap or the the torque arm mount .
well new trans and the adjustable set to exactly the angle the factory arm was no vibrations still using the newer soft es one I think its marked for 4thgens

in all this talk in all these threads about the poly transmission mounts, i don't think i've ever seen anyone suggest a rather simple solution that allows you to run the mount with the preload plate as it was designed to be run and get rid of the vibrations- make some shims to put between the crossmember and the frame rails that are the same thickness as the spacer plate.. you could experiment by stacking washers, then when you find that magical thickness that gets rid of the vibes just make a couple of spacers out of the appropriate bar stock and be done with it..
But that is exactly what I had to do because the extra thickness of that preload plate
caused something (I think the exhaust) to hit the underside of the body. I made 1/4"
thick spacers to go between the crossmember and frame.
Edit: after reading through this entire thread, if I do have any high speed vibrations, I
think my first step will be to replace my metal crossmember to frame spacers with 1/4"
thick reinforced conveyor belting. And make sure that the driveshaft angles are equal
and opposite.
