Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

I stepped on the clutch this morning, something Popped, and the pedal went to the floor and stayed. A bit of looking and I found the top of the clutch master cylinder rod had come off the stud on the clutch pedal arm.

Visibility and light (and eyesight) are poor but on the top of the rod it looks like there are three tabs on a plastic(?) bushing and one of those appears bent or broken. Is this common and more importantly can these bushings be bought short of robbing from a new master cylinder?

Suggestions for a fix will be appreciated.

The master cylinder is five years old. The car is an L69/T5 1985 IROC.

Thanks.

Can also use the style clip the brake pedal uses.

Re: Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

I prefer coming up with a bronze bushing to replace the plastic (be creative, use a Dremel) , and adding a retainer clip from a brake pedal rod (I have migrated from the GM clip to aftermarket.)

Re: Clutch Master Cylinder Problem

I cut the stock pice into a simple bushing and used an E clip. Works fine
