ok so i bought a 1993 gmc conversion van with a 350 tbi and 700r4 i plan on puttin a my rpm intake and holley carb on the motor but i i dont no what to do about the wireing to the trans the speedo cable will be fine it will plug right in but the trans has no kick down cable and in the spot where on my trans ha four wires this has like 10 i will count them tomorrow and i no i have to change the tail shaft by the way my car is a 1988 firebird that use to have the mpfi 2.8 in it with the 2004r but i put in a 305 and 700r4 out of a 1986 iroc z28 the original plug from the 2004r pluged right in to the 700r4 but it has never shifted right it always shifts at 2500 nomater what and if i want to pass i have to manually down shift o yea and i dont think it ever locks up any help would be apreciated thanx

 

That's not a 700R4, it's a 4L60E... no good for your purposes, unless you want to buy a relatively expensive computer to control it. Your car never had a 200-4R, unless it was a TTA.

 

o ok thanx alot the guy i bought it off of said it was a 700r4 and i trust him it does also look alot a like so i guess i will just stay with the trans i have and do u no anything about my kick down cable not having any effect on the trans and what i need to do to make my tc lock up i just wanna go with a toggle cuz i dont really have the money to buy a controler and ijust drive it on the highway back and forth to school once a week like a 2 hour drive there

 

what trans does the v6 have in it than

 

V6s have a 700R4.
