Hello I have a camaro that used to have a 700r4 and now has a th350. I can put it in all gears except first is a real pain I have to pull it back with all force sometimes hit it for it to go in. Can anyone help my fix this problem thanks.

 

Its most likely your shift cable. I'm not sure where the adjustment on it will be, but its been my experience that if you're having trouble getting it into the farthest points in its range (ie. Park or "1"), its probably a cable that is either stretched, damaged or sometimes, just out of adjustment.
