tune EPROM for Manual tran?

I'm looking at buying a 350TPI f-body (which we all know is the auto tranny) because there are some clean un-molested examples in my area for under 5 grand. Only thing is I'm one of those people that loves a perfectly timed heel-toe down shift. So I would be entertaining a T-5 swap, only prob is I read somewhere that the stock tune in the EPROM is set up for running an auto trans(duh) and that it won't run quite right if I swap in manual. Any thoughts?

Start with a Vette bin. They made manual L98's in those cars.

The vette bin sounds good. looks like the only difference is the aluminum heads so I probably just retard the the timing 5 or 10 degrees to prevent pinging with the cast iron heads. I was thinking I could probably drive it un-tuned its just that it'll idle higher than it needs to.

You can run whatever manual trans L98 bin is available and copy in a Iron head L98 timing table and other settings if you want. It should work out well.

Need to find out what bin codes came from stock T5 305 cars. Then you can try to download a bin file off of moates.net or other DIY tuning sites.

Might beable to locate a stock prom for a 305 T5 combo in the classifieds and just read the stock bin.
