2001 Z06 6-Speed MN12 with 350 tpi
will a 2001 Z06 6-Speed MN12 work with my 350 in my third gen. anyone done it? what will i need. do they make a bellhousing for it. and would there be an advatage or disadvantage over the t56. i can get one with 5000 miles for 700 bucks. please help

C5's have a transaxle which means the trans sits in the rear of the car. I'm sure you could make it work, but it would not be a simple swap.

Won't work. As said, the C5 trans is mounted to the differential.

It will still be a LS1 version with a long input shaft, but you can use a Muncie-SFI/T5/saginaw bellhousing or quicktime conversion bellhousing to fit it to a SBC. The GTO-clone would be sufficient for a TPI 350 and could be built to handle from 500-700hp easily. The SSR clone could be built if you expected to see from 700-1000hp.
