The VIN won't tell you if a car is an auto or manual transmission.

On the passengers side of the transmission there will be two plugs with square heads. The bottom is a drain, the top is the fill plug. The fluid should be filled to the bottom of the plug.

this was spot on. after the whining noise drove me insane, i searched, found, and followed your directions. after reading this, i found that i have barely ANY fluids left. stuck pinky most the way in and didnt hit a drop. how do i REFILL the tranny? it was such a small space, i couldnt use a ratchet extender. seriously dought a bottle of tranny fluid will turn up enough to pour in. PLEASE HELP
