Hey guys, well i have an '83 camaro, it has a pretty stout 355 in it right now and it shot the stock 700r4 tranny. I been calling around and its gonna be pretty pricy to have it built and nobody will guarantee it if i put it through abuse. So, im gonna swap to a th350, because it will be cheaper and i can have it built stout and it will be a stronger tranny. I just want a complete walkthrough basically of what i will need to do this swap. All input is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!!!

 

In order to use this tranny you will need the coversion kit available from Summit racing. Basically i think you need a torque arm mount? I know that you will need th long shaft version of the 350 trans, as the short tailshaft version will not work. You can find the long tailshaft style th350 in most trucks.

i didnt have anything too crazy on my last swap and the B&M kit did everything I needed for the swap. basically same thing as the hurst setup
