Clutch ideas?

Ok so last year I did the t-56 swap (for people considering the swap, do it, you won't be disappointed) and with the purchase of the trans I got a used spec 3+ clutch assembly. So bein myself I'm planning for a new clutch soon, now I love the way the spec clutch felt and grabbed and am considering going that same route, the hardest part for that is the damn price! I mean jesus! $688!! I did find a site that sold it for around $600 but damn! Is there another option here? I really wanna keep the feel that I had with the spec 3+, I've heard of people buying a lt4 pp and buying a disc separate somewhere? Someone point me in the right direction please, thanks

Re: Clutch ideas?

I'm running the Autozone LT4 PP and Mcleod disc with good results.

Grab pretty good? Any slippage at wot? I mean will it compare to my old spec? Sounds good price wise.

Re: Clutch ideas?

Find a brake and clutch exchange. They may be able to re-line the disc and surface the pressure plate / flywheel for you, with some options on the disc material.

It performs very well and hasn't slipped yet. It has >10k miles and still works as good as day one. I can't compare it to your spec since this is the only setup I've ran so far.
