Did previous owner install a shift kit?
How do I find out if the previous owner has installed a shift kit on my 700r4?

In theory, you might be able to tell by the shifts. Hard neck-snapping shifts usually indicate a kit, especially at WOT. But there are other things that could cause that I assume as well.
Not sure what a Transgo or other brand kits use that could be recognizable, but if I remember right, there's not much to a B&M kit that would allow you to tell even if you dropped the pan (unless your a tranny expert and really know what your looking at).
But generally, asuming there's nothing else wrong or different with the trans ... if the car shifts like any standard Buick, Olds, etc. (plain jane street car), then I'd assume no kit. If it shifts much firmerm especially at WOT, then I'd assume a kit of some sort.
I have a kit, as well as upgraded boost valves or whatever they are, and mine has a slight jerk to it when shifting, even when light on the throttle.
