Re: tranny swap
Is the parts car a v6 or v8 as that will make a huge differance with the transmission. I take it in the 82 is a T5 transmission for the swap. T5's where not ment to be behind a 350 but I know a few guys that do it but only use their cars for drivers and dont beat on them. We had a T5 behind a 383 once to see if it would last till the end of the season and it laster 3 days at best but thats another story. The list of stuff you need for the swap is
--- Trans
--- Trans bolts that where used to mount to the block on the bellhousing
--- Slave and resivoir under the hood and allthe hardware for it
--- clutch pedal assembly
--- torque arm mount and hardware
--- all the wiring that goes to the tranny as you will have to wire them up for the reverse lights to work and will need to bypass the neutral safety switch
In the interior
--- Center console piece with boot
--- floor rubber boot and harware
This is I think everything you need for the swap. If you have access to a welder you can cut the ring out of the 82 for the floor boot and weld it to your 84. If not metal screws work fine
Hope this helps
