i just got a new 700r4 in the car over the weekend, i have a huges 3000 stall that was in the old trans that lost 3rd gear. shifts and works fine but it leaks trans fluid out of where the dipstick tube goes into the trans. i have pulled the tube out and cleaned it and made sure the gromet was correct. what else could be the cause of the fluid running out or has anyone had this similar problem. would like to get it fixxed before i have to get another trans. thanks.

 

is it seated in all the way? Is there a tube itself leaking? Ive seen sometimes there is a pinhole from rust. Also check the cooler lines, make sure they arent leaking and running down the trans to make it look like the tube seal is leaking.

 

If it is the rubber grommet, try some silicone seal on the grommet and reseat it.

 

no its not the lines you can clearly see it leakin while its running, will probably have to silicone it but would really rather not
