700R4 Question

350 TPI set up right now. Keep running into issues with the tpi/computer so i am going carb for now. Question do i have to keep the computer to control the tranny?

Ok after doing some searching i believe it will work all i need is a way to control TCC.... i plan on using this kit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TCI-376600/

Yep - you need that or something similar.

With the TCI kit you have shown - just be very careful with the dimpy little vacuum switch they give you - it's a piece of crapola and breaks very easily, and there is no replacement for it (other than paying TCI for an entire new kit).

Mine broke when I ent to put the vacuum line on it - obviously a factory defect - but they wouldn't work with me on a return or switch replacement since I'd already installed everything else (which is what you do according to THEIR directions). Needless to say I was NOT HAPPY, and thus I personally refuse to buy anything TCI again due to their lack of customer service.

I just use their manual switch provision and control mine with a switch.

But it's as good as any other brand. No one makes anything that they can be proud of anymore!
