305tpi w/ boltons... which rear end?
Got a few questions...
I am planning my drivetrain on my '91 Z28 hardtop.
It's getting another 305tpi transplanted in soon. Mods will be, aftermarket intake manifold, 1.6 rockers, mild cam upgrade, headers and 3" exhaust all the way back (already on the car), 8mm plugs wires, new injectors (already on), a 3" catback, and most likely a chip or some sort of dynotune.
Now as far as the trans, it'll be a 700r4 with a B&M shift kit.
The car currently has the stock 2.73 drum posi.
My first question... I want to know what rear end to go with, I want my Z28 to have a good deal of wheelspin off the line, but I need 20mpg highway out of it. I'd really like it screech second gear, too! B&M has two shift kits I can choose from, one is more of a street application, one a little more harsh. Which one should I go with, and will I have any issues with putting it on a 90k mile 700r4?
I want my LB9 Z28 to perform like a Z28 should... Thanks in advance!!!
