Car: 1986 Pontiac Firebird

Engine: 97 LT1 W/ Alot of goodies.

Transmission: 4L60E W/ Yank SS3600

Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 Bolt BW

Quick Torque Converter question. 4l60 -> 4l60e.

Quick question would a torque converter that was in my 92 4l60 work properly in a 97 4l60e?

It can, but you need to eliminate the pwm. The TransGo Shift kits have this valve in them, but I carry the valve assembly by itself. Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/prod...&cat=58&page=1 They go for $8.67.

I bought a 4l60e converter for my 700r4 ive had it in there for a few months already..i hope im not hurting anything it was going in the guy's 96 camaro....

The 4L60E torque converter will work in any 30 spline 700R4.

My question is the other way around. Will a torque converter from a 30 spline 700r4 work in a 97 4l60e? Sorry for the confusion.
