Car: 85 pontiac trans am
Engine: 400 big block 6.6L
Transmission: 400 turbo trans
85 trans am not shifting at times
well i want to start by saying thanks to the people on this site they have already helped me alot.
i have a 85 trans am with a 400 big block from a 78 trans am. im not sure what kind of transmission is in it if it would be the one from a 78 or if they kept the 85 transmission...is there any certain way u can tell...
now to my problem i finally got it running and took it for a test drive yesterday and the tranny didnt want to shift at times..i would get it to shift by going from over drive to drive then it would shift to second same with third..i cant think of what would cause this?
my friend suggested a transmission module im not sure if this would cause my problem or not... any help would be greatly appreciated
