A stock T-5 starter will fit. However a stock 700 starter may not, because some of those have a larger nosepiece.
"Work" is a different matter.
A stock LT1 starter will work.
Any of the mini-starters that accommodate the 12.8" flywheel should work. Not having seen every one that there is however, I cannot make any promises about any specific one.
No one in his right mind would want to preserve the cheezy Stone Age direct-drive Delco POS from the 30s that came with a T-5. Throw that Neanderthal relic in the trash and move at least into the 20th Century, if not the 21st.
