hard shifting problem...clutch related?
Here is the problem...i have a pretty hard time getting my tko into first gear and every now and again..3rd gear. If i pump the clutch twice or so it will go in however. This leads me to believe i still have air in the lines. The problem is..ive done everything i can think of to get it bled. Is there a good procedure that i didnt read that i can do to bleed it? Ive done:
-Gravity bleed
-Conventional bleed with person in the car and clutch and opening the bleeder
-Pushing the slave rod all the way in a few times with the slave unbolted and hanging
After all that its still difficult to get it in first.

Re: hard shifting problem...clutch related?
I did a complete auto to manual swap as well as new engine. The master and slave were replaced with used pieces that were almost new but sitting around so long that some air got into them.
Re: hard shifting problem...clutch related?
OK, then the master and slave cylinders were not replaced. Used stuff was tossed in and lord only knows the true disposition of them.
I know what I would do as is obvious by my post. You can keep trying to bleed them and pump the clutch a gazillion times.
good luck what ever you decide as you need to get back on the road, it's summer.
