T56 Swap into 91 TA with Keisler Kit / Quicktime bellhousing

Hi, my friend is about to swap a T56 into a 91 TA, he bought Keisler kit with Viper input shaft, anyone have pics of this type of assembly, particularly the front factory plate which holds the throwout bearing collar and has the seal in it. Seems we need to retain this plate the front collar needs to be machined so that the new throwout bearing collar will bolt on to the new adapter plate.

Any and all pictures, links, greatly appreciated!

Tim

Re: T56 Swap into 91 TA with Keisler Kit / Quicktime bellhousing

"Keisler Custom Designed Each Make and Model For a PerfectFit Everytime" = machining required? lol

It's probably just like the aftermarket T56 which is old style bellhousing (or Quicktime 6018) + steel adapter plate (with throwout bearing sleeve bolted to it, then the T56 bolts to that just like any other. Machined input to match the length and pilot o.d. requirements and done.

The GM aftermarket, Viper, or GM LS1 front plates of the trans. do not require machining for the steel adapter plate to bolt to them unless Keisler is covering new ground (and they seldom are, contrary to their usual claims.)
