700r4 colling lines please help!!

Hi! so I have my self at a standstill trying to hook up the cooling lines on my tranny. The lines that i have are stock and are kinda old. My question is: has any one ever just ran 3/8 rubber tubing instead of the stock lines? I was thinking about giving it a try but my dad tells me that it leaks really bad because the lines have to much pressure. I did a couple of searches and could not see if any one has any trouble with leaks. Does any one have any thoughts?

thanks soo much,

Jesse

Lots of people have done it. Use hose rated for the fluid and pressure (ask for transmission cooler hose), and route it away from heat.

i have a bunch of 3/8 fuel hose around but i don't think it is rated for any kind of pressure.
