ok i have a 87 camaro irocz 305 engine i am rebuilding the engine next week witha mild cam only about 20 more hp but i am also rebuilding the tranny to. ok question one: i have a 700r4 tranny built to 1300 hp in my garage been sitting for 10 years is it usable or will it need to be rebuilt it has maybe 15 miles on it.
question 2: should i use the stock torque converter with new fluid or should i get a new one and idk what stall to use dont even know what the stock stall is.
problem one: when i floor my car or go from neutral to drive in a high rpm or 1st to 2nd at a high rpm something goes bang underneith me and i cant tell if its the tranny or rear end or torque bar but this only happens when i shift the car hard otherwise it runs perfectly besides that it wont idle in gear
