So last nite after enough alcohol encouragement, I pulled the trans out. When I put it in 6th gear, and the output shaft just spins and there's a rattling noise. And when I put it in and out reverse, it doesn't go into neutral. To get neutral, I have to put it into and out of a gear. Tomorrow I'm takin it over to the guy that worked on it. Anxious to see what he finds...

 

my brother had his t56 for his 97 rebuilt several times because it wouldn't shift into 6th, the last guy finally found a hairline crack somewhere inside not sure where but god my brother went through hell trying to get someone to find out what was wrong. He installed and removed more times than I'd care to do on my own car lol
