Bringing this back, i didn't realize they made a plate now, has anyone else had this problem? i'm using the standard adapter, i don't have any issues yet, it seems that the adapter should be enough to hold the bearing... this would suck to pull the tranny to install a plate...

i just talked to fortes, he's going to send me the plate, the tko500 has the retainer installed from the inside, the 600 is installed from the outside which will flex under load not supported. i'm not removing my trans though, i'm just going to cut the plate and sandwich it in there.

Here is a picture of the complete "kit" to install the TKO's into a 3rd gen. Notice how the "shim plate" will sandwich between the adaptor and the trans to keep the bearing from working out. Has worked great for a year now and it has been ran hard. Anymore questions, just ask and I will tell you what we did if you haven't already been through it. Thread
