Clutch Replacement - 1988 T5
Looking for a step-by-step Do-It-Yourself guide with photos for replacing a worn clutch in a 1988 Iroc. Want to tackle this project in my garage over the fall and winter. Looked all over ThirdGen, but couldn't find one. Can someone point me to where I can find one? Thanks.

I don't know if there is one; there's a link below that has a lot of good pics. We'd be happy to assist you along the way so you can do a write-up.
Since you know you'll be doing the clutch, plan on definitely replacing the pressure plate and disc as well as the pilot bushing or bearing and you must get the flywheel surfaced (call around to machine shoppes and ask if they can do an '88 Camaro V8 flywheel; they'll know or refer you somewhere. If it's too thin, they'll tell you to replace it) An aftermarket shifter gasket or tube of ultra RTV black will be needed.
Also, inspect the trans. mount and torque arm mount. When original, these are rubber and can wear out & crack so you may need new ones or decide to replace them regardless.
As long as you have a broad selection of common-sized sockets, you should be set. 13mm, 15mm, 9/16" and whatever fits the torque arm bracket bolts and crossmember bolts. Extensions too.
There may be a how-to outlined in the Haynes manuals sold at Autozone.

I'd also recommend getting a tool to remove the pilot bushing from the end of the crankshaft.
