Which gearbox do I have?

Been having some problems with my camaro's automatic gearbox as of late. It doesn't switch out of 1st until 3500Rpm and the same for second and third.

Then when it changes into 4th theres an almighty thud in the car before it does so.

I'm going to get a company to overhaul it and they need to know which Gearbox is in it.

1987 Camaro I-ROCZ Vin number. *G*FP2*FXHN34*7* (Q-9821)
5.0 TPI V8
Everything else is standard.

if THEY are asking YOU which gearbox is in it, find a different place to take it, they should already know.....

and try the TV cable thingy posted above first, these guys are right, that may fix it at no cost, unless the valve in the valve body is hanging, which isn't unusual for that cast iron valve body. Then the valve body needs to come off and clean and polish the TV valve itself. Find a different trans shop to do it.
