700R4 shift point problem
I have an 87 Camaro with a 305 and a recently rebuilt 700R4. It's been in the car for about 5 months or so now and before today it would hit OD between 40-45 but today it wouldn't shift any sooner than 50. I figured it was due to the extreme temperature drop (84 2 days ago, 45 today) but the car warmed up and it still wouldn't shift any sooner. I drive almost 60 miles a day so it should be nice and warm. Do you guys think it might be my tv cable? I'll check the fluid tomorrow because it's raining now. It has B&M trickshift fluid in it, and it's almost clear so it's hard to judge the level..

try taking it to a mechanic, they should charge you for a diagnosis, or add a shift kit, or something like that.

Re: 700R4 shift point problem
Im not sure if your supposed to use trick shift in the 700r4.
For some reason I remember reading that some place. They could have changed it at some point?
I would double check that.
It does sound like your TV cable moved a click. Did you go WOT lately??
