i did some searching on this topic but i cant seem to find the straight answer im looking for. lol
heres my dilema...........i want to put an 8.8 in my 85 camaro ( i have one already built from a mustang project i did) Before i go cutting brackets and shortening it up a bit i was wondering if anyone has a source for a bolt on torque arm mount for 8.8 ford that is compatible with the umi torque arm.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

 

I did some digging on this before swapping my rear end. AFIK, I could not find anywhere a pre made piece to directly work for a 8.8. The only pre made piece I could find was for a 9" rear. Everyone so far has had to make one, including myself.

 

you want a bolt on torque arm mount for a 8.8"? it does not exist. You have to fab somthing yourself. People here have modified 8.8's to fit, but usually requires welding the case, not easy, or some pretty crazy fabrication.
