lt1 t56 hydraulics question. Just finished swap
Alright I just finished my t5 to t56 swap and I have an issue with the clutch hydraulics (which are new) When you depress the pedal all the way you feel something not right, the motor bogs and it wont go into gear, but if your 3/4 of the way it shifts great.
My question is can I make a larger spacer for the slave cylinder to reduce the push? and solve this problem?

do you have the spacer between the bell and the slave?

Usually, overtravel of the slave causes the fork to grind the pressure plate. I could see that showing up as a "bog."
Jumping right to a particular modification of the slave and fork travel can be tricky on the pull clutch setup. Mild shimming might be the fix. Visual verification that's what's happening (sleeves in place of the spacer block) would be a possible next step.

alright that helps now I know whats happening I thought at first something might have been wrong with the new throughout bearing.
what are ways of stopping the overtravel? limit the pedal with a stop? I have no carpet in the car I know it would do alittle for reducing the through of the pedal. But I dont think it would be that much.

There are a few ways of doing it involving the master being adjustable, shortening the pivot tee, moving the stud on the pedal, shimming the slave... on yours, add the carpet, then if it''s still going on, put in an adjustable master.
