Im having a problem with tc lockup. Normally the tc will lock when it shifts to OD with no problem. However anytime I accelerate, to the point the tc disengages, or press the brake, the tc will usually NOT engage again sometimes it will. It does not seem to be a problem with the brake switch because as I said it does the same upon acceleration. Its totally random, there is nothing definite that makes it happen (or not happen). Ive had the trans rebuilt, everything upgraded to heavy duty including the TC. The problem did not change. Anybody have any ideas? I would prefer to keep the "system" stock as I do a lot of highway driving and want to keep the best possible economy. I would do a switch if needed but would like to keep automatic operation. What triggers the lockup from the ecu?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im moving very soon and would like to get this issue fixed before the long 2500 mile X2 trip. Thanks in advance.
