i have been searching... can't find what i'm looking for.

is there an sfi approved bell housing available for the 3rd gen that will allow the use of a tremec 5 speed with a ford main case? i have a tremec 3550 i want to get the revised tko case for, but i don't want to buy the gm version since i currently want this trans as a spare for my mercury capri that already has a 3550 in it. the back up trans i am building has the torque arm mount on the tail case and the one in my capri doesn't.

i am not sure what engine i will run. i would like to get an lsx, but if i find a car with a good sbc i'll run it. are sfi bells available for these engines that will allow you to use the factory slave cylinder?

i don't have a 3rd gen i am looking at doing this to yet, but when i get one to do up it will be an 85-89 camaro. i am just trying to plan for the future and kill 2 birds with one stone so to speak.

i also found rm-6064 which will work with a sbc.

sounds like these both say they use the clutch fork and slave.

has anyone used one of these bells in a 3rd gen with a tremec? were there any issues?
