Car: 1986 Sport Coupe Camaro
Engine: V6 2.8L vin S 173ci - MFI GAS
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Transmissions Mount Problems!

I have a 1986 2.8L 5 Speed manual transmissions and the dumb rubber transmissions mount keep braking went throw like 4 of them is there a better one that I can use or something I can do to make them last longer?

Please give me your best advice =)

Axle/Gears: Bw 9 bolt 3.27

any of these should work good for u i had the same prob with my 305/auto would break almost once a month till i got an ES poly mount and has had no trouble, u can also get one at your local parts store

Is your torque arm bushing and are your engine mounts in good shape? I used to have problems with the tranny mount breaking and then clunking around until I found out that my torque arm bushing was obliterated.

As Lucid suggests, you may wish to take a peek at other mounts (or your driving style), because breaking four mounts with a 2.8 seems excessive. The poly and/or Prothane mounts, while stronger, may cause vibration issues that you can't live with--at least I couldn't. Below is a comparison of all three mounts: ES poly, Prothane, and OE rubber:
