I have a 91 Camaro convertible that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Car has not been on the road for almost 4 years. Got the fuel pump replaced, and did the other things necessary to get it roadworthy.
I took it out for a ride today and am having issues with the transmission. It will shift from first to second, and second to third, but revs really high before it shifts.
If I get on it really hard, it won't shift at all.
Can anyone give me some idea of what is going on?

my car did a similar thing when it would shift from 2nd-3rd but it wouldt catch 3rd gear at all. i would have to say your clutches in your transmission are just wore out. looks like time for a swap or rebuild
