I am thinking of changing the gears in my car for better performance my car doesn't see the highway if it does its for one exit I should have 3.08's if its stock I would like to I think go to 3.73 I have a 350 tpi motor and a 700r4 trans been having a difficult time trying to shop for the gears so any links and advice I would appreciate.

Many members says that 3.42's are the best bet for a 700R4. A bit of research might ease your mind on that score. The 10-Bolt FAQ sticky will provide some general info about 10-bolts that may be useful (assuming that's what you're running):

Re: need help/advice rear gears

Even if you see some highway use, 3.73 won't be too bad but with the low first gear of the 700R4, such a deep gear isn't really needed. a ratio in the mid 3's is better.

Re: need help/advice rear gears

I had 3.42s in my car when i bought it and wouldnt go any more than that with a 700. I actually really regret getting rid of it for this damn 9 bolt lol.
