Hi guys thanks for the help any recommendations will help a lot because im not to educated on T5. Ok so my concern is that i had a trans oil leak and i didnt notice it for awhile. At the time i had "accidentally" removed my muffler and when the cops came knocking at my door i naturally got a new one installed, but when i got a new muffler installed i heard a terrible high pitch whining sound coming from the trans. This is when i found the tranny leak.

Sooooo now i need to know more about what to do in this situation. Im guessing my opitions are rebuild the trans or replace it. So what do you guys think? Would it be hard and expensive to rebuild the internals of the T5 or would it be cheaper and just faster to replace? If you guys think i should rebuild what would i have to replace? Every part or just some parts and which ones HAVE to be replaced no matter what? Also could you shed some light on recommend replacement parts, and if im rebuilding it shouldnt i add higher performance parts than just going back to stock. Is there a way to add performance parts to the T5 to increase Performance?

Thanks for reading please add any thoughts or concerns you might have for me. Obviously after reading this thread you must realize that i dont know much about the T5 but i am completely mechicanicly inclined so rebuild isnt completely out of the question for me.
