Car: 89 firebird, 03 Avalanche z71
Engine: 5.0 stock (for now)
Transmission: 700R4 auto
Axle/Gears: stock 2.73 for now
700r4 delays shifting into gear?
ok I have an 89 firebird 5.0 tbi w/700r4. The trans shifts fine once in gear,but when I put it into gear initially it waits about 5 seconds before going into gear, either drive or reverse and everytime even when just cycling from reverse to drive or from park, but once in gear the trans works perfectly fine. Anyone know what might be causing this? I really have no idea, pump maybe, or just need a rebuild? Any help on this would be great guys. thanx in advance
