Hey fellas. I got an 89 Iroc, 5 speed with t-tops. My T5 went BANG and I need a replacement. So I went to the junkyard and saw an 88 convertible 5-speed Iroc with (what I am assuming to be) a T5, but its missing the bellhousing.

My question: If I take home this T5 will it bolt right up to my stock bellhousing? Will I need any other mods?

I just hope that this T5 is actually working. I'd hate to spend $200 for nothing

 

Yes. Though it may have the other OD ratio. Not difficult to swap, unless that's what you broke. And you're extremely dang lucky to score a V8-spec WC T5. I've been hunting the Pick-N-Pulls for 2 decades hunting one, never any luck. Those are worth $600. If you lived near me, I'd give you $200 for the broken one, for mock-up purposes.
