Power loss after shifting into second

Car: 86 T/A GTA Rims
Engine: 350 Mild cam 750 holly
Transmission: Beefed 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
Power loss after shifting into second
So when my tranny shifts into second it feels like it losses power and gets held back. What could it be? Ive had the kick down cable set and the only thing i cant think of is the TQ, its a 2300-2500 stall. Could the TQ be the problem?
