what torque converter

i got a lo3 305 tbi with ebl flash , lt1 cam , pro comp 1500-6500 rpm uintake manifold . a t 70 turbo set around 8-10 lbs of boost . 700r4 tranny with shift kit an corvette servo . 87 gm 10 bolt posi out of a iroc with 3.23 gears an disc breaks , an 27 " tires on back . i was gonna put a 2500 stall but then i i got to talking to a friend who thinks a 2000 rp stall will be better since i'm gonna daily drive it . alot of highway miles
any opinions ?

Re: what torque converter

The stall will be based on what the duration of the camshaft at .050" lift? Lobe separation? And how you drive. Conservative? Moderate? Moderately aggressive? Or aggressive? And anything done to the motor. Let me know?

Re: what torque converter

it's a l03 305 stock heads , either lt1 or lt4 cam ) ebl flash for tuning , procomp cyclone intake (1500-6500) t-70 turbo ,700r4 tranny , posi 10 bolt with 3.23 gears . my driving style is agressive . but i still use it most days , alot of highway driving to work . thats why i'm staying with the 700r4 . the cam , rear an turbo aren't in yet but the turbo goes in in aug . an the rear an the cam in sept- oct .

Re: what torque converter

I would go with a 9.5" lockup with a 2,600 - 2,800 rpm stall. This will allow the turbo to spool up quicker.

Re: what torque converter

You should be fine with a 2200rpm-2600rpm stall. Ha ha yeah the stock 700r4 will need to be upgraded soon for the upgrades that you have planned. I got my transmission and converter from Bowtie Overdrives. I'm very happy with the way it worked out.

Have you dynoed your car before? I like it. You have a sleeper Camaro RS that you still can say is powered by the L03!
