Help to identify this transmition/advice
Need a little help and advice. I pulled this auto transmition out of the 87 bird. It was attached to a carbed 305. So I need a little help to identify this one and also if it would be suitable for an older style 350 with no emmitions. My second question is a little advice. I would really love to put a 5 speed trans in this car. What kind of extras would I need besides the obvious 5 speed tranny and petals. Im a little new to this kind of swap just wondering how hard it is and how costly. I just figure if im going to build a hot rod a might as well do it right, and a five speed would be the cats ***.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help, it dont look that difficult. But let me ask one more dumb question, that link you gave me james shows the trans being put in while motor is in already, would that in your opinion be the easier way to do it? Put motor in then trans or vice versa? Ive even been told they can both go in at the same time but it looks sketchy.
