Transmission: Manual
Axle/Gears: Stock
3.73 Gear Swap

My dad bought an 86 z28 after eralizing the awesomness of my 92 rs, with it came a spare 3.73 Gear set. no rear end housing just the ring gears. if i wanted to put that gear in my rear end, What do i need?

I'm "not" saying this is the way to go because there are cheaper ways and those I suggest looking into before committing to this one with the Eaton Posi. and support cover.You will need a reputable shop that's done it "many" times and since you already have the gears and 28 spline axles,this is
a list of parts and price estimates.
Master bearing kit = $90.00
Axel bearing and seals = $30.00
Installation/labor = $300.00
Total= $420.00
or with
28 spline Eaton Posi.= $500.00
L.P.W. Support cover = $160.00 = $1,080.00
This is what I put in/on mine.
