Looking for advice for my setup
So I have the rear end out and am wondering what to do next., I have 2.73 gear open diff 10 bolt right now with drums. I am planning on putting in a old school 350 carbed beefed up and am thinking of going with a manual trans. Havent decided witch one yet though. The car is basically going to be for show... no dragstrips but I would like it to take off well if I want it to. What gear change (If any) should I make? I also want to make it a posi with disc brakes. I have been searching for the gears and parts etc to make this happen but have not found exactly what I need . Any advice would be appreciated and maybe some part numbers or a good website where I can purchase some parts.
Then I also have a guy near me that has a 10 bolt posi disc brakeswith 3.27 or something close to that and he wants $350 for it..... would that be a better way to go or just build mine up?
Thanks

Re: Looking for advice for my setup
I'm giving you some advice I give a lot, and it fits your situation at least as well as most others: Go to your local salvage yard and spend $100 on a complete rear axle assembly from a '91-'92 V6 / auto. That'll give you the 7.625" 3.42:1 gears, and the 28-spline axles. Then install a Lock-Right. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PWT-1931-LR/

I will try and find one, I dont think I will get one for 100 bucks though. I live in Michigan and people charge a ton of money for stuff. Thanks for the advice I like that gear ratio kind of an in between. Seems like the Lock Right is an easy install also but rather pricy. That rear end also has the disc brakes?
