Cable clutch to replace hydraulics
Good morning thirdgeners. I had a couple of questions regarding a t5 swap il will be doing in the near future. I'm replacing the current auto with the stick. I am currently collecting all the parts I need and doing a lot of research on this swap. One thing that I want to do with this swap though is use a cable linkage fr the cluth instead of the hydraulic setup. I've read many many thread regarding this swap but have not found one a far as a cable driven clutch.
My question is this. Does anyone know of any information regarding this path as appose to the hydraulic? If not does anyone have any suggestions? I've never owned a manual car before let alone worked on a stick. I would like to do this swap myself but don't have much experience as far as fabricating things.
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Cable clutch to replace hydraulics
My short advice on the matter:
Just because you have a half dozen Mustang owner friends who swear their clutch cable release works great and better than hydraulics doesn't make it true.
You can modify anything to fit anything. I have a mechanical clutch release 1995 T56 that uses 1983 T5 fork and clutch for example. The question is whether $400 in parts and hours, days, weeks, or months of your effort on top of that is really worth it rather than just buying the parts that immediately fit for $800.
