question on 700r4

Goodmorning thirdgeners!

As far as my 700r4 goes in my 92 rs, I am not sure of its stock or been upgraded at all. I have noticed that since I shift manually 90% of the time, that if I'm in 2nd and drop it down to first while moving, it glides in neutral until I give it enough throttle to catch the tranny up to speed. But in my fathers 89 sc, it catches like it does when you drop down to every other gear. Is this a sign of there being work done? Hope you all have a great day!

Re: question on 700r4

So you're saying you've lost engine-braking?

Re: question on 700r4

I'm not sure, it brakes in every other shift down which I rarely do. But it's like having a stall converter in first only. When I mash it in first gear, it takes off!
