Car: 1986 Z28
Engine: 305ci
Transmission: 700R4
From Craigslist
If I recall this wil bolt into my 3rd Gen, is that correct? I have a 1986 Z28.
I am going to convert to disc brakes on the rear? Looking for your honest 2 cents!
93 Z28 Posi Disc G92 Hi-Perf Rear End - $400
Fits 1993-2002. From a 1993 Camaro Z28 LT1 350 with 700R4 Automatic Trans. This is a rarer than most factory upgraded G92 Posi Disc Brake Hi-Perf Rear End. Complete end to end with rotors, calipers, 3 channel ABS Speed Sensor, Sway Bar, and Emergency Brake Cables as shown. Option Codes: (GU5) 3:23 Gear Ratio(most are 2:73), (G80) Limited Slip Posi, and (G92) Performance Axle (J65) Disc Brakes, (LT1) 350 Automatic was on trim tag which i photographed for documentation . Car was clean and had 132K miles on it and was not hot rodded or wrecked, we simply parted it out. Brake Lines will need to be replaced. No play at all in the pinion or axles. No weird noises. Internals look great, better than i expected, and no signs of any metal shavings or anything bad. A great rear end here.

Re: From Craigslist
I have the 4th gen in my car and due to the rims I chose, 18x10 ruff racing rims I did not require spacers on the hubs to clear. I did the swap due to wanting to upgrade the rear brakes and needed a posi rear and better gears. saves a ton of money.

Re: From Craigslist
It is as long as you get rims that have the correct back spacing so you don't get that getho 80's style of tires sticking out of the fenders. If you can crack it open and check the gears out

Re: From Craigslist
it is a direct fit however you'll have to do some research to find park brake cables that will plug onto the factory T. there is a jobber PN for it somewhere, I don't remember what it is but I do know I picked it up from NAPA at normal prices.
