Shifter Lever Damper

If the plastic/nylon damper is broken and severely worn, what are the symptoms (I have a buzzing in that general area at low speeds that i'd like to eliminate)?

Other suggestions for the noise?

Re: Shifter Lever Damper

The one in the offset shifter lever/block inside the transmission? Shifts don't fully go into gear and can pop out. It's not going to be a NVH issue until it's steel on steel and by then, you'd know the cup was worn.

They're way cheap and can be adhered in place to prevent shearing (if they rise out of the lever; this is a bigger problem on the 4-gates-wide T56 than it is on the 3-gates T5)
