trans fluid

FYI- I saw one of the car shows and they had a report on transmission fluid. There graph showed that it is designed to work in the 175-225 degree range. The additives are designed to work best in that range. At 250 the additives start to cook, at 275 the seals and rubber parts start to cook and at 300 you get trans failure because the clutches cook. They stated that the synthetic trans fluid should be used since it is much better and your trans will last a lot longer. I am going to install a trans temp gauge now and try and keep it in the 175 range. Anyone know of a good 2 1/16 gauge that works properly?
