A remote shifter like the CTS-V began in the T56 & TR6060 line would make it straightforward.

Re: T5 "slotted" shift plate???
First attempt to make a shifter plate has failed.
The T5 shifter is to thick, there is not enough space between gears.
Im guessing I need to like a spare T handle from an auto shifter like a hurst, it just a thin slot of metal and adapt it some how, so I can make a plate with shift pattern slots

Maybe just cut it down to a nub, slot it, use pins or bolts at first before welded........
