Hello,
Today I reinstalled the driveshaft and tried to install the torque arm. I can't get it to line up with the rear-end. It appears to be on the wrong angle. Does anyone have any tips for installing the arm. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Install the end that goes on the axle first, then the end that goes on the transmission bell housing. It's tight, but its doable. While I do have a manual, not an automatic, I'm pretty sure the mounts are the same

Do the transmission side first. have front end on the ground and rear end in the air on jack stands. Put a jack under the diff and adjust height until the torque arm goes on. Have had mine out countless time and re-installed this way each time.

I should have mentioned that you need the front end in the air for this to work.Originally Posted by 92RS_Ttop

I just bolted my torque arm and mount to my driveshaft tunnel. Bolted through right beside the driver seat.
Torque arm had two holes, made them a bit bigger. 3/8 inch. And through the mount.
Bolt goes through all of it.
Let me know if it's a really bad idea. Haha. Me being cheap and lazy

Trust me I wish I could do it right the first time and in most cases I think I am. This is my first time doing this... I'm doing this engine swap on a small island off vancouver coast. Auto wrecker or even a napa is a 3 hr ferry ride. So trust me when I say I wish I could do it right the first time...Originally Posted by rusty vango
